Education:
BA, Journalism (Public Relations track) and minor in Geography; University of Hawaii at Manoa;
MS, Social Studies Education, (grades 6-12), Florida State University.

Teaching Experience:
Taught at Berkmar, Dacula and Mill Creek. Gifted certified and certified to teach all subject areas in social studies. Currently teaching Law, Sociology, Psychology and Contemporary Issues. These are my absolute favorite courses to teach, and even though I love history and geography, I enjoy how the above three courses help shape and make history happen.
I am also one of the qualified driver education instructors for our community school. My first teaching experience began in middle school in Panama City, FL long, long ago (in a galaxy far, far away.)

Awards:
Kappa Tau Alpha (National Journalism Honor Society)
Golden Key National Honor Society
1997-98 Western Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Award

Keeping Up in 2012-13

If you are a 1st period student taking the National Exam, then you must make up the final exam for APHG next week during your ACT block and come to my class for that period:

4th ACT 7:20 am Tuesday
5th ACT 9:27 am Tuesday

6th ACT 7:20 am Wednesday.

Similarly, 2nd period students taking the National Exam on Friday will be missing their 1st period class' exam. You too will need to make up your 1st period final exam during your ACT block. Go to your 1st period teacher rather than attend ACT for two hours on Tues or Wed.
AP National Exam: Friday, May 17.  Be here before 7:15 a.m. Arrange for a ride home around 11:30--11:45.
